Summary: 
The session will provide an overview of the global cyber threats we face today in healthcare, focusing on how you, as an individual, are being targeted.  How do you protect yourself and stay safe online?  Errol will provide some simple tips and tricks that can improve your own cyber security posture and help keep you (and your company) safe online so that we can, collectively, deliver better and more secure care for our patients.


10:00amInformation Blocking Update

Summary:
On October 6, 2022, after more than a two-year implementation timeline for the information blocking rule, all portions of the initial implementation have concluded.   The two-year timeline provided a glide path for organizations regarding the information blocking regulations in order to reduce the burden of implementation. Moving forward, we expect to see periodic, experience-driven regulatory updates as well as continued work on education, outreach, and oversight, including the establishment of disincentives for health care providers.  During this session we will review what has been accomplished and it’s impact on healthcare providers and what is likely to drive future changes for disincentives.
