Job Description: Responsible for the assignment
of ICD-9-CM diagnosis/procedure codes, CPT-4 and HCPCS codes
for outpatient services rendered in an acute care hospital
facility. Responsible for knowledge and adherence to
coding guidelines, CPT coding conventions and regulatory requirements.
Requirements: Associate degree or successful completion
of accreditation coding program; 203 years outpatient coding
experience; AAPC or AHIMA outpatient credential required.
Applicant will take a pre-employment online coding assessment
which will be scheduled through the hiring manager in the
HIM department.
