Job Description: The Coding Specialist reports to the Coding Manager and is responsible for accurate and timely assignment of CPT, ICD-9, HCPCS II, and modifiers based on review of documentation for anesthesia, critical care, and pain management professional services. The Coder is responsible for upholding coding and compliance standards, as well as following payor guidelines and policies. Major duties include reviewing documentation, correcting code assignment, timely completion, maintaining credentials, resolving coding issues, and keeping current with industry regulations. Requirements: Coding certification required (CPC or CCS-P); 2-5 years coding experience.
