Job Description: Part-time. PACECODING is seeking a part-time experienced inpatient medical coder to assist with the training of new inpatient coders, as well as coding and abstracting of inpatient medical records. Requirements: 5 years coding experience in an acute care hospital, including 2 years of leadership/supervisory/validation experience. Experience in developing educational materials and conducting training and education sessions; a multi-specialty setting is preferred. Experience with provider auditing in CPT-4, ICD-9-CM code assignment. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required. Must pass internal coding assessment test. AHIMA CCS coding certification required.
