Job Description: The DRG Appeals Coordinator is responsible for DRG Validation of audit appeals submitted by our contracted providers. The Coordinator utilizes extensive coding and clinical knowledge and experience combined with chart review skills to provide accurate DRG determinations. The Coordinator will participate in the development and implementation of new audit and recovery initiatives. Requirements: CCS with minimum of 3-5 years experience in ICD-9 coding and expertise in DRG assignment. Experience with APR-DRG preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years experience applying ICD-9 coding expertise to medical record review. Demonstrated ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to consistently produce high quality work products in a timely and appropriate manner.
