Job Description: Under general supervision, the Health Information Specialist is responsible for the timely release of protected health information in response to requests received from health care facilities/clinics/physician offices, patients, attorneys, insurance companies, etc. Eligible condidates must have experience and knowledge of the Massachusetts General Laws, Federal Public Health Laws, HIPAA, privacy standards, and regulatory guidelines in accordance with established policies and procedures. Requirements: Minimum three years work experience in the health information management field, excellent communication skills, knowledge of medical terminology, RHIT, RHIA or equivalent in work experience preferred. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with exception of Saturday coverage on a rotation schedule.
