Major duties:

  • Chair the Communications Committee and provides oversight for the Public Relations Committee
  • Manage the MaHIMA website design and content in conjunction with the Administrative Director
  • Establish and update guidelines and timelines for website content development with the Communications Committee
  • Appoint and oversee facilitator for the Massachusetts Community of Practice (CoP) on the AHIMA website
  • Oversee the creation and prompt publication of the Association newsletter and any other MaHIMA communications
  • Assume the duties of the President-Elect in his/her absence or inability to act, if appointed by the President
  • Serve on the Planning Committee
  • Serve as Delegate for MaHIMA, attending the AHIMA House of Delegates at the AHIMA Annual Convention, AHIMA Team Talks, and other AHIMA meetings as necessary
  • Attend all MaHIMA Board Meetings & Business Meetings
